the past three weeks...

...so much has happened. We spent Independence Day at Crooked Lake in WI with family. The day was filled with tubing, catching up and eating(all day, way too much). We got back just in time for the Ten Second Film Festival at the Soap Factory.

We received terribly sad news that the tumor removed from husband's knee was cancerous. They had thought that it was a benign nerve tumor, but it turns out that it is Synovial Sarcoma. He will undergo five weeks of five-days-a-week radiation therapy, rest for four weeks and then undergo a second surgery. We were relieved to find out that it has not spread to his lungs or lymph nodes. His prognosis seems promising.

The next day, I found out that my exhaustion was due to a current mono infection. I have been sleeping ridiculous amounts and trying to slow down.

We are thankful for every moment together and for the support we've received from family and friends.

Our days have been filled with appointments, research, work and slow, relaxing walks.

We also celebrated our Third Anniversary. Six and a half years together has gone by fast. We've had so much fun and we're looking forward to what lies ahead.

xoxo
