we're settling in a bit more each day. the kitchen, bathroom and entry are done. check, check, check. just a little ways to go. it's exciting to unpack belongings that have been packed away for 3 months. we've been reunited with treasures and have discovered what we simply don't need. New found simplicity and organization brings with it a calmness and ease that makes me feel perfectly at home.

we did it. we found an apartment after much searching. january in mn is apparently not the time to be on the hunt for an apartment, but we found one one we like. it's charming. and, while it's not portland, which has to be put on the back burner, it's our home. we're together and happy and we're blessed with so much joy in our lives.

by the way, stopping for a bite to eat really helped the search. it at least made it more fun.

onward ho goes the job search. wish me luck!

We were gifted a new game, called Askew, over the holidays and we busted it out on New Year's Eve. That's me and Emanuela studying a tricky move. Basically, you build a structure by placing metal rods one by one. A lot of people compared it to reverse Jenga. It was a huge hit and so much fun.
